It’s important that your loved one’s casket or coffin reflects who they are, and that you are involved in the personalisation process from the very beginning. We have designed this page to take you through the individual steps of selecting the coffin or casket with an ongoing awareness of cost.

The price box on the right of the screen will update every time you make a selection to keep you aware of how much you are spending.

If you feel that you have exceeded what you are happy with, or you wish to try another option, you can deselect items to bring your spend down to meet your budget. At the end of this form, please enter your delivery address or pickup option. You can then choose to save your cart as a quote or proceed directly to the checkout by pressing the submit button at the end.

All pricing is inclusive of GST, all the tools that you will need and freight to any town in NZ.
The price box includes everything you will have to pay, other than custom options.

Special requests such as Custom Painting, Gloss Stain, Vinyl Stickers and Vinyl Wrapping are all additional to the price box amount.
Please make a selection at each stage and the page will then present your next option.

Step 1: Urgency

In order for us to respond appropriately to your request, we need to know how soon you need our services.

Step 2: Pickup or Delivery

Freight Times Information

Freight usually takes 1 to 2 days following pick up from our North or South Island depots.

If this not quick enough for your needs, Mainfreight allows us to request urgency at an extra cost of $50. This should ensure that your consignment is delivered in 1 to 2 days.

Once your consignment reaches the local depot, Mainfreight will contact you either by email or phone to arrange a time for delivery. It is important if you are waiting for the delivery that you keep track of you emails and missed calls, because if Mainfreight cannot get hold of you, they are not able to schedule your delivery.

You are able to pick up from the depot if that suits you, make sure that you let them know that this is what you want when they call.

Saturday deliveries and pick ups are possible but need to be organised in plenty of time. Saturday deliveries or pick ups are $50 extra, as someone will have to come in to the depot specially for you.

Step 3: Assembled or Flat Pack

Flat Pack Information

If you choose the Flat Pack option, you will be sent all the tools that you need to assemble the coffin and a comprehensive set of instructions. You can also refer to the videos at the bottom of the homepage where you can watch a coffin being assembled.

Assembled Information

If you choose the fully assembled option we will assemble your coffin and fit handles and any linings that you have specified.

Step 8: Select Linings

Absorbent Lining Information

Every coffin comes with an absorbent lining. This collects any discharge from the body and prevents any possible staining from coming through to the exterior of the coffin

Decorative Lining Information

The decorative linings are a " nice to have" extra, particularly if a viewing or open coffin is planned. It is not a requirement and can be omitted entirely if you like. Linings come in Unbleached Calico, Bleached Calico and Satin. The lining folds over the raw edge of the coffin for viewing and is folded inside when the lid is finally placed on the coffin.

Step 9: Select Pillows

Pillow Information

Each coffin has a: "Hard" pillow which is under the absorbent lining. This allows the head to sit in a more natural position. The soft pillow is purely decorative and may be omitted completely if desired.

Step 10: Select Top Sheet

Top Sheet Information

The top sheet is designed to come up to chest level and is tucked in under the occupant. It is entirely optional and a favourite blanket or flag can be used for this purpose if desired.

We do not stock Top Sheets for XL coffins at this time, but can usually have them made to order within a few days if required. They can be sent with an assembled coffin or directly to you if you have ordered a flat pack.
